He was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth ROFF in Hill City, Kansas on August 1, 1898. To this union were born eight children: Mrs. R.E. STEVENSON, Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Grace MAUPIN, Lily and Lola Brown, Jack, Frank and Alvin Brown, all of Hill City; and John Albert, who preceded him in death in 1914. He leaves two grnadchildren, Mari Lu Brown and Connie Cleo Maupin, both of Hill City, and two brothers and two sisters of Los Angeles, California. Mr. and Mrs. Brown have lived the greater part of their married life in Hill City. He was converted in the Baptist church in 1914. His motto was, "If you can't say any good about anyone, don't say anthing." He was employed by the state as patrolman for over three years. He was a loving father, affectionate husband and a friend to all who knew him. Card of Thanks.
