Smith Dies. Wife of Prominent Business Man Succumbs After Long Illness. Services Today. Mrs. B.F. SMITH died at her home in Hill City Tuesday evening about five o'clock, after an illness of several years. Funeral services willbe conducted today at 2:30 at the Presbyterian church by Rev. Forrest A. Heizer. Interment will be made in the Hill City cemetery. Wade Justus, J.R. Gordon, Dave Greenwood, P.L. Stout, Dr. Willard Brown, and Ray LAw willact as pallbearers. S.L. Jaynes, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Brumbaugh and Mrs. Harold Thompson will sing with Mrs. V.A. Vesper at the piano, accordiing to preliminary arrangements. Harriet Ellen SMITH was born at St. Charles, Illinois, October 10, 1857, and passed away at her home December 29, 1931. She was united in marriage to B.F. Smith in Council Bluffs, Iowa, April 25, 1885, by a Presbyterian minister. They went to Beatrice, Nebraska, where they resided for twelve years. While in Beatrice Mrs. Smith was a member of the Congregational church, and took an active part in the work of the church. Mr. and Mrs. Smith moved to Graham county March 25, 1896. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, Benjamin F. Smith, a daughter, Mrs. Sol HUTTON, three granddaughters, four brothers, and several nieces and nephews.
