Died Suddenly. W.D. BENHAM, a pharmacist who had been in the employ of J.K. WILSON, died very suddenly Sunday morning at his home in this city. Mr. Benham had been sick but a short time and only left the store last Friday night. Saturday he sent up for some medicine, and Sunday morning he died, almost without warning. Dr. BOWERS was summoned but did not arrive until after the death of Mr. Benham, and as no autopsy was held it is only conjecture as to what caused his death. His brother, who lives at Leroy, was notified by wire, as were Mrs. Benham's relatives at Wilson, Kansas, and Mr. Benham from Leroy, arrived Monday and took charge of the body and accompanied it and Mrs. Benham to her home in Wilson where it was interred. Mr. Benham was a member of the A.O.U.W. and was well thought of by his Anthony friends, but had only been a resident about four months. The members of the local lodge of A.O.U.W. materially assisted the family during their trouble and proved themselves brothers in time of need. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/harper/obits/b/benham989gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
