The hearts of the community were shocked last Wednesday when Mrs. Mila JONES pass away at her home south east of town. She has been suffering for some time and her death was not unexpected. However, it seems that we still cling to hope that at any time that death comes we are hardly expecting it. Mila EMBRY was born at Danville, Kansas, January 21, 1881. She was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Embry. She was married to John JONES November 16, 1898. To this union four children were born. Mrs. Jones died at her home May 28, 1919, at 10:45 o'clock a.m., age 38 years, 4 months and 7 days. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, John Jones and four children, Eva, Almon, Pearl and Fern. Also her mother, Mrs. Josephine Embry of Wichita, two brothers, Howard Embry of Hawley, Okla., Eddie Embry of Wichita, and one sister, Mrs. Ethel JOHNSTON, of Wichita, besides a circle of acquaintances and friends. Funeral services were held at the Christian church by Rev. W.E.
