She was married to John A. BURKE November 20, 1870 to them 7 children were born, all of whom are living. With her husband, she came to Harper county in June 1877 and this has been her home until death claimed her thus having lived in Harper county 42 years. In 1890 she became a convert to the Catholic church and died in that faith and was laid to rest in the Danville cemetery, beloved by a large circle of friends. She had been an active member of the Woman's Relief Corps for many years and will be missed by that body.
