In 1856 he moved with his parents to Wayne county, Iowa. There he lived until 1877 when the family moved to Kansas in Harper county, near the present site of Danville. He was married in 1901 to Mary Elizabeth ASHLOCK. To this union was born three children, two of whom died in infancy.
