Rev. J.R. Edwards, of the Bapist church performed the marriage ceremony for Samuel A. GWINN and Norma McGOWEN, last Thursday evening, January 5, at 8 o'clock at the country home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.A. McGowen. The ceremony was witinessed by the immediate family relatives, and a majority of young people of the neighborhood. One of the unique features of the evening was the charivari party that had for its leader and captain, J.H. MEYERS, and it was composed of the old folks of the neighborhood, men and women and a merry crowd they proved, and they furnished a first-class charivari. The next day, Friday, the couple were entertained by the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Gwinn, and a jolly party of invited guests assembled to do them honor. Mr. Gwinn is the oldest son of County Treasurer A.C. Gwinn, and is one of Silver Creek townships most successful farmers, while his wife as Miss Norma McGowen, had a host of friends and acquaintances who insist that Mr. Gwinn was doubly fortunate in acquiring the hand and heart of so estimatable a young lady. They certainly start in life together very auspiciously, and they have the hearty congratulations of many friends, and their best wishes for their future, in which the Bulletin joins. They will live on the Gwinn farm six miles east of Anthony. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/harper/vitals/marriages/mcgowen487gmr.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ksfiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
