Powell-Babcock.
Dr. and Mrs. T.E. POWELL of 4900 Blackstone avenue announce the marriage of
their daughter, Marianne Louise to George Newton BABCOCK, medical department,
U.S. Army son of Mr. and Mrs. Llewellyn W. Babcock, of Harper, Kansas,--Chicago
Tribune.

The above clipping is of more than usual interest to many of our readers as the
groom is well known here. In fact he has spent nearly all of his life in this
community.
He is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Babcock and is a young man of sterling
qualities, well equipped to take up the responsibilities of married life. We
have found him to be industrious, courteous and intellectual and predict for him
a successful future. The lady of his choice is one endowed with the
characteristics that make the wife and helpmate. The happy couple are now with
their friends and relatives here. The Advocate extends congratulations.
