Waneta "Skeet" F. Stender
Waneta "Skeet' F. Stender, 82, died July 22, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She wa born on June 25, 1926 in rural Floris, Iowa. 
the daughter of Guy and Marie (Miller) Haney. They preceded her in death.

Waneta married William H. Stender on October 29, 1977, in Denver. He 
died on October 13, 1992.

She was a homemaker most of her life. Her hobbies included painting, 
reading, baking, raising flowers and canning foods.

Waneta is survived by two brothers, Rex Haney, of Omaha, Neb Charles 
Haney of Ayr, Nebraska; a sister < Doris McCurdy, of Newton and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

She also was precede in death by a brother, Cecil Dean; and three sisters, 
Ruth May, Nola Moseley and Iris Reynolds.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral 
Home in Newton.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Greenwood 
Cemetery in Newton. Chalpain Denny Bell will preside.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Crippled Children's 
Fund or Burn Hospitals, both in care of the funeral home.
