Robert MANNELL, one of the prosperous young farmers on the reservation went to Clarence MARSHALL's place north of town Tuesday morning for some posts. He took his gun along and while alighting from the vehicle with loaded gun in his hand jostled his companion and both fell to the ground, discharging the gun. The full charge was received in the right arm and shoulder of Mr. Mannell making a very serious wound. A doctor was called and emergency treatment was given. The wounded gentleman was brought to Mayetta and with his brother took the 6 o'clock train for Topeka where he will receive surgical treatment at Christ hospital.
