An exciting runaway occurred on our street last Thursday afternoon a fine roan horse attached to a buggy was tied in front of Charles Maxwell's shop, it was the property of Mr. Lamison. It became frightened from some unknown cause, broke halter and went tearing up Main street which was lined with vehicles of all sorts. The buggy collided with various rigs and in front of Heyman's store hit a wagon with such force as to break harness and let horse loose to continue its wild run. That anything was left of the buggy after its knock-about expedition was a little short of a miracle, but outside of some minor damages the vehicle was in good shape. The horse was later caught, the pieces of harness picked up and all expressed themselves as satisfied that the incident ended with no more serious consequences. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/jackson/newspapers/arunaway222nw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
