Our wolf hunt last Friday proved to be a failure. The east and north lines were very light on account of so much sickness. At the round-up there was a serious accident befell Harry MILLER. An owl was flying low and several shots were fired at it, and some of the shots struck Harry in the eye. He was taken home at once and a doctor was called, and it was decided to take him to a Topeka hospital. It is said that it will be some time before the seriousness of his condition can be determined. It is hoped he will recover and retain his eyesight. It is needless to say that the accident stopped the eats at the Ladies' Aid lunch stand, but they had already sold enough to a little more than pay expenses. The feeling expressed by a number present was that they had had enough wolf hunting to do them the rest of their lives.
