John Atwater, of Netawaka, Well Known Thruout Kansas. John ATWATER, 83, of Netawaka, Kan., died of heart disease at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning at Christ's hospital. Mr. Atwater was an old resident of Kansas having lived in Netawaka since 1884. He was well known thruout northeastern Kansas and had many friends in that section of the state and in Topeka. He was a veteran of the Civil war, and was wounded twice while a member of the Union forces. Surviving relatives are his widow, Patience; three sons, Charles and Maurice, who also live at Netawaka; John Atwater, Holton; and a grandaughter, Dorothy Atwater, of Denver, Colo., who is the daughter of another son, Leon E. Atwater, deceased.
