BICKER was born in Kiel, Germany, July 19th, 1851. He emigrated to America in 1870 after serving three years in the German navy. He returned to the old country in 1880 where on May 2nd, of that year he was united in marriage to Miss Bertha KIEIENMIER, after her death he returned to America and on May 27th, 1900, was united in marriage to Mrs. Harriet BRASSBRIDGE. for the past four or five years they have made Mayetta their home. Last April, on advice of physicians Mr. Bicker went to the famous springs at Carlsbad, but disease was to far advanced and he died in the latter city at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25th, and his remains were laid to rest in his beloved fatherland. Mr. Bicker left an enduring monument of his thrift and enterprise in the Bicker Block, one of the sightly business buildings of our city. Modest and unassuming he did his part toward making Mayetta. Those who knew Mr. Bicker best appreciated his many fine traits of character, and all bowing their heads to the inevitable.
