The Holton Recorder, Jackson County, Thursday, August 4, 1921
John CARPENTER, a veteran of the Civil war, died Monday and was buried
yesterday. He lived with his daughter near Holton. The funeral was held at the
Christian church, conducted by Rev. PerLee, and the G.A.R. Post had charge at
the grave.
