Mrs. Floride Chenoweth.
Floride, daughter of Edwin and Martha WILSON, was born in Randolph county, West
Virginia, August 23, 1842. 
Nov. 22, 1864, she was united in marriage with Thos. CHENOWETH. Three children
were born to them, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. A. H. VOEKEL, Holton; E.W.
Chenoweth, Kansas City, Mo.; and J.F. Chenoweth, Oakland, California. Also one
sister remains, Mrs. R.A.MILLER, Zanesville, Ohio.
In the fall of 1878 she came with the family to Circleville where the greater
part of her life was spent. 
About 35 years ago she united with Christian church of Circleville and at the
time of her decease was a member of the Belmont Ave. Christian church of Kansas
City.
For the past two years her home has been with daughter, Mrs. A. H. VOEKEL where
in her declining years she received every comfort and consideration.
She arose Sunday morning apparently in her usual health but at the noon hour was
stricken with apoplexy, which resulted in her death. She passed away Tuesday
evening, Sept. 12, at 5:30 o'clock. Her age was 80 years and 20 days. Of her it
can be said as of one of the old that "she died in a good old age."
The service was held at the home Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. G.F.
BARTHEL officiated. Several helpful solos were rendered by Miss Chrystine STOLL.
Following the service the remains were borne to the Circleville cemetery for
interment.
