Jennie Agness TAYLOR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Taylor, was born in Holton, Kan., February 11, 1886, and died January 15, 1923, at the age of 36 years, 11 months and 27 days. On June 8, 1913, she was married to Alex C. LATTA. To this union was born one child who died in infancy. A year ago last October they took to their home two foster-children, Edward and June, who have called her "mother" and on these children she lavished the affection she longed to give to her own baby. Mrs. Latta spent her girlhood and young womanhood in Holton and vicinity. She attended the Holton Public schools and graduated from the commerical department of Campbell college. For some time she did stenographic work in Holton and then filled that position at the Potawatomi Agency at Nadeau and the navajo Agency at Ft. Defiance, Arizona. Mrs. Latta has been in failing health for a number of years and all that loving hands and skilled service could do has been done to keep her with us but on the morning of January 15 she answered the summons that called her in death. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. L.F. Waring. Music was furnished by Miss Alice Wolverton and C.O. Randel. Burial was made in the Holton cemetery. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/jackson/obits/l/latta1177gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
