Wilburn Ernest NEELEY, eleven-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Neeley, passed away at the family home east of town Monday night following only one day's illness with spinal meningitis. The little lad was taken ill Sunday evening with the dreaded disease and the end came Monday near midnight. The funeral services were held from the residence yesterday afternoon with the Rev. Geo. A. TAGGART of the Congregational church in charge. Interment was in Hillcrest cemetery. Besides the father and mother there are four sisters and four brothers to survive him, all of whom were in attendance at the funeral. The Misses Alice and Margaret Neeley came from Walla Walla, Washington, where they are attending Whitman college and John Neeley Jr., was here from Portland, Oregon. The death was a most sorrowful one and particularily so because of the method of the grim reaper. The family is a prominent one and their bereavement has cast a shadow over the entire community in which they live. Weiser(Idaho) Signal. Wilbuer Neeley is a grandson of Mrs. John S. HIXON of Holton. Mrs. Neeley will be remembered in Holton as Miss Rena Hixon. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/jackson/obits/n/neeley1138gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
