The Holton Recorder, Jackson County, Thursday, July 28, 1921
Soldier's Body to Arrive.
The body of Elmer STANELY, overseas soldier, has arrived in this country from
France. It was shipped from Hoboken Wednesday and will arrive in Holton the last
of the week. Funeral services will be held at the Christian church Sunday
afternoon, burial with military honors. Elmer is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
STANLEY, former Holotn residents. Rev. Duncan MacFarlane will conduct the
services at 3 o'clock.
