Peter Thompson Dies From Shot Gun Wound on Farm Near Mayetta. Following closely on the Marshall tragedy yesterday morning, Peter THOMPSON lost his life on a farm four mils east of Mayetta. He was killed by the accidental discharge of a shot gun. Thompson was a brother-in-law of Geroge HANSEN and had come out to the farm near Mayetta to visit. His home is in Kansas City were he is a carpenter, 41 years old, and married. Yesterday morning Thompson took the shot gun out to hunt squirrels. About 10:30 his sister, Mrs. Hanson heard a groan in the wood near the house and went out to find her brother dying from a gun shot wound in the breast. He had been climbing through a wire fence, dragging the gun after him when it was discharged. Death followed instantly. Undertaker GABEL brought the body to Holton last evening.
