A pleasant surprise was sprung on this community last Wednesday afternoon when it was rumored about the streets that Miss Lucy DAVIS and Alvin APPIER, accompanied by Miss Edna REYNOLDS and John McALEXANDER, had hied themselves to the county seat for the purpose of getting married. For once, Dame Rumor had spoken truly for at about four o'clock Judge SLIMMER was called upon to tie the know that binds. Both Lucy and Alvin are among the most popular of our young people and that their married life be one long symphony of bliss is the wish of all. Thursday evening a goodly number of our young people assembled about the home of Grandpa and Grandma LUNGER and charivari music and showers of old shoes and rice filled the air till the blushing bride and groom came fourth and promised never to run off and get married again. That every happiness be theirs is the wish of the Herald and a host of friends. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/jackson/vitals/marriages/davis76mr.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
