Shaffer--Hochuli.

On Wednesday, September 6, at 5 p.m. occurred the marriage of Helen Mae SHAFFER
of Denison and Ernest F. HOCHULI of Holton. The marriage was solemnized by rev.
G.F. Barthel at the Evangelical parsonage.
Both parties have been reared in Jackson county. The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Shaffer of Denison; the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. O.F.
Hochuli of Holton. Both are graduates of the Denison High school. For the past
four years the bride has taught in the county schools.
Both are estimable and deserving young people and have the best wishes of their
many friends as together they enter upon the journey of life. They will be at
home on the Hochuli farm southeast of Holton.
On Friday evening a reception was held in their honor at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. O.F. Hochuli, at which time a number of immediate relatives and friends
gathered to extend congratulations and good wishes.
