Christmas week was a busy one for the ministers, but it was the brand of busy that they enjoy. Just on the eve of Christmas, Rev. J.B. Vernon officiated at a marriage at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Taylor. The contracting parties were B.F. STREETER of Holton and Miss Bettie SMITH, of Seneca. Rev. Vernon tied the knot securely and nicely in plenty of time to get to the Christmas entertainment at the church. The bride wore white mull trimmed in white all over netting and wore the old family jewelry. The ceremony was witnessed only by relatives and a few of the very near friends. Miss Smith for a number of years made Seneca her home, a daughter of Mrs. Ella SMITH, and was a school girl here. Of late she has been visiting a sister at Holton, and there met and loved the man who is now her husband. The groom is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. M. Fletcher and is a butcher by trade. Both are splendid people and as they enter wedded life at the happy Christmas time are blessed with t! he best of good wishes from friends far and wife.--Seneca Tribune.
