DAVIS, of Union township, about 14 years of age, was out with a team and stopped on one side of a hedge, on the other side of which was a neighboring boy spreading manure over the hedge square on the horse, which so frightened them they started at once on the run, and after a time struck a fence, the collision throwing young Davis, who was in the wagon, some ten feet in the air, and he fell his full weight upon the hind wheel, breaking a cheek bone down in such a manner it could not be restored to its place, and otherwise bruising him. He will probably recover, but his face will be disfigured. We are indebted to Dr. Hogeboom, who was called to the boy, for these particulars of the case, which ought to be a warning to all boys not to carelessly or recklessly frighten horses.
