WARDLEY and James WELLS, brothers-in-law, residing about seven or eight miles this side of Leavenworth, have had a grudge against each other for some time. On last Saturday they met in Leavenworth, and getting into a quarrel, drew knives on each other; but were separted. On Sunday morning early, Wardley loaded his gun with slugs and going over to Wells' residence found the latter milking a cow, and demanding of him to take back words he had spoken on Saturday, and Wells refusing to do so, soe the other shot him dead, and also wounded the cow he was milking. The murderer then and left, and at last accounts had not ben seen. The murder appears to have been predetermined and cold blooded to the fullest degree. We hope the bloody wretch will be captured and punished. These murders on the slightest provocation are becoming entirely too common, and they must be put a stop too.
