The Oskaloosa Independent, Jefferson County, Saturday, March 29, 1879 March 29, 1879
Prairie fires destroyed about 40 rods of rail fence for J.A. PATTERSON, last
Sunday, about the same amount for Dr. PETERSON, and a few rods for Mr. J. SMITH.
Great care should be used when fires are so numerous.
