RANKIN, captain, his uncle, A. RANKIN, first mate, anchored off the front door of our sanctum last Thursday night after a cruise of eighteen days on the high seas of Missouri. They presented a reather weather beaten appearance, and now wonder when their log book showed that their rate of travel was, part of the time, only five miles a day. The uncle thinks that, so far as he has seen, Kansas contains more whoel souled, large-hearted people to the square miles than any country he ever struck. He has decided to make his home here.
