Last Sunday evening some party or parties entered the house of John DORSEY, an old colored man who lives in the west part of town, and took there from one hundred and fifty dollars which the old man had earned in small amounts by hard labor, and laid by "for a rainy day." The family was at church, and the money was left locked up in an old-fashioned chest which fastened with a clamp and padlock, and to which the thieves gained entrance by drawing a staple. Zeke KENNEDY was arrested on suspicion but discharged, there being no evidence against him, and today there is no clew to the rascals who stole an old man's hard earned money.
