Mrs. H.A. COY, of Grasshopper, daughter of Jos. EVANS, of this place, met with a terrible accident on Tuesday morning last. She was out driving with her little daughter and another lady, and had started to cross the bridge at Miller's mill, when, seeing another team approaching, she tried to draw aside to give it room, when her horse backed and fell over the bridge, or over one of the abutments, down about fifteen feet. The horse was instantly killed, and Mrs. Coy was so badly injured that it was feared she would not live. She was insensible when picked up, but seemed to be improving at last accounts, and we hope that she may recover. She is a most estimable lady, and her death would be a sad loss to her family and her numerous friends. The other lady was not hurt, and the little girl but slightly so.
