BELL was burned last Friday evening, while Mr. B. was away from the home. The children, one of them a boy of about fifteen years of age, were burning some loose hay near the stable to destroy grasshoppers, and the wind carried the fire to the building, which was entirely consumed. Grimes, the mail carrier, was passing, and succeeded in saving the wagon and mowing machine which were in the stable, although the wooden parts of the machine were burned. Mr. B. has gone to work to rebuild the stable, which is quite a loss to him.
