City Marshal MORROW perambulates the streets with a good-natured grin continually on his face. 'Coz why, there's a new baby at his house. Reason enough. The first snow of the season fell here Wednesday and Thursday of this week to the depth of about four inches. Enough, perhaps, to last until Thanksgiving. Now is a first rate time for fires.--For the sake of your neighbors look well to your flues, and don't pile hot ashes against the side of the house. Eight mechanics have left this place for California and Nevada, withing the past few weeks, besides a number of other citizens.
