The Oskaloosa Independent, Jefferson County, Saturday, Febuary 8, 1879 February 8, 1879
Wolves are more plenty than sheep in this neighborhood. One was scared out of a
hay stack near Jhn SOWERS on last Saturday morning and we met two in the lane
just north of Hall's nursery Saturday evening. Several of them are seen in Mr.
RICHARDSON's pasture every morning. Why can't we get up a wolf hunt?(Boyle.)
