Allen. Thomas Cleveland ALLEN, 74, a former longtime resident of the Williamstown and Lawrence area, and an operator and owner of a general merchandise store in Williamstown for several years died Monday, July 3, in San Pablo, Calif. He was born August 16, 1885 near Williamstown. He was a retired Union Pacific railroad foreman. He lived in the Lawrence area until his retirement in 1946. Surviving are three daughters, Hazel GUMM, San Pablo, Mrs. Helen FRANK, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Wilma GERRED, Kansas City, Kan., a son, Chas. ALLEN, Kansas City, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Louise WILSON, 804 Conn. St., Lawrence; Mrs. Rebecca VANDIVER, Topeka, Mrs. Julia SKEET, Route 3, Lawrence, Mrs. Mamie BROWN, Oskaloosa, a brother, Wm. Allen, Lawrence, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Rumsey Funeral Home in Lawrence, Rev. Albert BRAMBLE officiated. Burial was in the Underwood cemetery near Williamstown.
