November 24, 1887, she united in marriage with George J. NEWSTIFTER at Eudora, Kansas. To them were born two daughters and two sons; William of Ozawkie; Mrs. Rosa GREEN of Pauline; Joseph and Mrs. Katie SWIN of Ozawkie. Mrs. Newstifter became a member of the Catholic church early in life, in which faith she continued unto the end. COming to Ozawkie nearly 40 years ago she had a wide acquaintance and a large circle of friends. She was a kind and affectionate mother and a good neighbor. Uncomplainingly she bore her affliction for a number of years, very few knowing much of her distressed condition. Four children, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister, will miss her. THe funeral was conducted at the home Sunday June 29, at 3:00 p.m., Rev. L.A. STONE, now of Lecompton, Kansas having charge who a little less than three years ago, officiated at the funeral of her companion. Rev. H.L. BRAMMELL and Rev. C.C.
