Collins. Jona H. COLLINS, son of Henry Clay and Elizabeth Collins, was born in Anderson, Illinois, January 20, 1877. Departed this life in the Winchester hospital, August 18, 1961 at the age of 84 years, 6 months, and 29 days. He moved with his parents at the age of 4 years to Jefferson County, where he reamined except for 6 years he and his family spent in Wallace County, they returned to a farm close to Perry where he continued farming until 1937, when he moved to Perry. He joined the Methodist Church at the Oak Grove Community Church that later transferred to Perry. He was a hard worker as long as his health permitted and was a good neighbor and had a great love for children. He is survived by his wife, a son, Harry L. Collins, R. 5, Topeka; Mrs. Bessie GOOD, Perry; 5 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many friends. Funeral services were Monday August 21 at the Methodist Church.
