Lincoln Henry EDMONDS, son of Mable and the late Earl Edmonds, was born May 9, 1920, at McLouth, Kansas and departed this life, May 21, 1949. He was educated in the McLouth Public Schools and graduated from high school in 1938. He was affliated with the Baptist Church at an early age. On November 2, 1940, he was united in marriage with Miss June THOMPSON of McLouth. To this union was born one child, Phyllis June, of the home. Following his marriage, he engaged in farming on the Dave Edmonds farm near McLouth and was regarded as highly successful by his friends and neighbors. In addition to his wife and daughter, he is survive dby his mother, Mrs. Mable Edmonds of Topeka; two brothers, Arnold Edmonds of Hershey, Penn., and Maurice Edmonds of Sunflower, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte HAMILTON of Independence, Mo., and Miss Joyce Edmonds of Topeka, Kansas. He is mourned by a host of relatives and friends. The funeral was held Wednesday, May 25th, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church at two o'clock. Rev. Ira N.H. Brammell of McPherson, Kansas, conducted the fuenral and the music was furnished by Mrs. Hobart Herries and Mr. Eric Steeper, who sang,"In the Garden" and "Ivory Palaces" accompanied by Mrs. Walter Bradford. The burial was at the McLouth Cemetery. The many beautiful floral pieces and large attendence at the services, bore mute testimony to the affection the community felt for the deceased. Among the out-of-town relatives attending the funeral, were: Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Edmonds, Sunflower, Kansas; Miss Mable Edmonds, and Miss Joyce Edmonds, Topeka, Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hamilton, Independence, Mo.; Mr. George Laphan, Mr. Floyd Laphgan, Mr. and Mrs. Clancey Laphan, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Schrader, Miss ???? Kimmel, Mrs. Ham???, Mrs. Ken RANKIN, all of Kansas City; Mr. and Mrs. ??? Edmonds, Mr. and Mrs. Robert White, Mr. and Mrs. Plin White, all of Lawrence, Kansas; and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Champion, of Tongonoxie, Kas. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have helped, sent flowers, food and expressions of sympathy during the illness and death of dear son and brother.
