The Oskaloosa Independent, Jefferson County, Saturday, April 6, 1878
Died.--On Monday night, April 1st, 1878, of consumption, Mr. T.J. FITSIMMONS, of
this place, aged 29 years and 7 months.
We are glad to state that deceased seemed in the last few weeks of his life, to
be at peace with God and man, and perfectly reconciled to the Divine will. He
was possessed of a good warm heart, and was well liked by those who have known
him frm boyhood, as he grew up in this community. The funeral took place
Wednesday, the services being conducted at the residence of the deceased, by
Rev. Dr. Davidson, of the M.E. church.
