JOHN WILLIAM GORE, 86, of near Nortonville, died yesterday at
Winchester.  Funeral services will be tomorrow at the Sawin and
Dyer chapel; Rev. Floyd Dietz officiating.  Burial at Oak Hill
cemetery.

Son of John and Rachel Foley Gore; born 17 Mar 1871 in Platte
County, MO.  He lived the last 12 years in the Nortonville area,
prior to that he lived 22 years in Whiting.  Mrs. Gore died 24
Feb 1952.

Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Wood, Atchison, and Mae
Gore of the home; three sons, Raymond Gore of Holton, Fred of
Whiting and James of the home; three grandchildren and five great
grandchildren.  A daughter died in infancy.  A sister and brother
also preceded him in death.
