Henrietta GOETTINGS, daughter of John and Maria RANSH was born at Affoldera the
province of Waldeeh, Germany, Nov. 15, 1856. She was married to Ernest
GOETTIINGS in June 1877. They imigrated to this country in 1895, landing at
Baltimore, Dec. 22, and came to Leavenworth county in January the following
year. To them was born seven children, four boys and three girls, one boy dying
in infancy. She died Aug. 31, 1906, aged 49 years, 9 mo., and 16 days. She was a
life long member of the Lutheran church. The funeral services were conducted by
Rev. F.P. WHITE.
