Mrs. T.C. Green Dead.

Mrs. Lucy Green, wife of T.C. Green died at her home near Perry this afternoon 
of cancer, aged 68 years. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Death of Mrs. Green.

Mrs. Lucy Celestia Green, wife of T.C. Green, died at her home north of Perry 
last Thursday afternoon of cancer. She had been a sufferer from cancer for some 
five years. In the course of that period she underwent two operations for the 
trouble, but these afforded her only temporary relief. At time she experienced 
great pain, but was a patient sufferer. Mrs. Green was a loving wife and mother 
and a good neighbor, and her death has brought great sorrow to the family and 
her many friends. She was a Christian and died firm in the faith that a home 
where sorrow and suffering are unknown awaited her beyond the veil of tears. 
She is survived by husband and three grown daughters, Mrs. O.B. Talladay, Mrs. 
C.F. Dick and Mrs. Eb. Edlin. Funeral services were held at the home at 10 
o'clock Sunday morning, the Rev. D.A. Shutt officiating and interment was in 
Oak Ridge cemetery. The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of this 
community in their loss.

Lucy Celestia Green, daughter of Ebeneezer and Lucy A. Allen, was born in the 
state of Ohio, Apr. 10, 1840. At the age of five years, she with her parents, 
moved to Richland, Kalamazoo, Co., Mich. where she resided for about four 
years, when she moved again with her parents to Martin, Mich. She came to 
Kansas in 1866, where she spent the remainder of her life.
