Mrs. Eleanor Hoffman HARMON, passed quietly and peacefully from this life at 12:30 Saturday, March 9th, 1901. Again the golden chain of human love has been severed, and the cords of human friendship broken. Oh, thou inevitable conquerer of life, again thou hast out-marshalled human skill, loving labor, and the tenderest, most loving care. Thou are death, the inevitable! However viewed in the light of that universal law of everlasting life; arranged for in the great economy of God through infinite love and mercy, thou hast conquered yet thous are not victorious; thou has brought earthly sorrow yet no sting. O, death, where is thy sting? O, death, where is thy victory? were the thoughts forced upon the many friends and relatives who looked for the last time into the quiet, peaceful, and happy face of our beloved sister. There is no home, dear Saviour, Like thy bright home above, Where the sighs give place to singing, And grief is lost in love. There rise thy holy mansions, There gleams thy crystal sea, There sin can never enter, And death no more shall be. =================================================== Contributed for use by the USGenWeb Archive Project (http://www.usgenweb.org) and by the KSGenWeb USGenWeb Archive Project USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organization or persons.
