The Oskaloosa Independent, Jefferson County, Saturday, September 1, 1877
Died.--Friday morning, after a lingering illness, Mrs. Adaline HICKS, wife of
W.C. Hicks, in the 50th years of her age. She leaves a husband and son to mourn
her loss. Mrs. Hicks was an estimable lady and highly respected by all who knew
her; and her unexpected death has case a gloom over the entire community as she
was a true friend.
