All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ks/ksfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jim Laird jlaird@bellsouth.net September 11, 2005, 10:50 pm The Anthony Weekly Bulletin The McLouth Times Jefferson County Friday August 3, 1906 Mary NEWLIN, daughter of John and Elizabeth Newlin, was born Jan. 26, 1844, near Bloomingdale, Park County, Ind., and removed in her infancy to Howard County, Ind., where she was married to Philemon JONES, Nov. 12th, 1862. They removed to Leavenworth County, Kans., in 1870. To them was born seven children, six sons and one daughter all of whom were with her during the last days of her illness. She died at her home, July 30, 1906, age 62 years, 6 months, and 4 days. This is the first death that has occurred in the family. Shew as one of the oldest residents in this neighborhood having resided since 1870 on the farm where she died. She was a lifelong member of the Friend's church, an earnest christian and a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her sons acted as pallbearers at her funeral. Services were conducted at the Stanwood church by Rev. J.P. Ballard, Rev. F.P. White and Rev. N.W.
