The Oskaloosa Independent, Jefferson County, Saturday, October 20, 1877
Died.--Mr. Charles KIMBEL, with was was supposed to be a congestive chill on
last Thursday and was buried Friday. Dr. Wilson preached the funeral. Mr. Kimbel
came to this place with his family from Iowa about a year since and has been
residing a short distance southwest of town. He leaves a wife and two children.
A daughter, a young woman, and a son about 16 years of age.
