Laster. James C. LASTER, 74, 1544 Ottawa, died Wednesday night at the Fairview Nursing Home at Oskaloosa, where he has been a patient 10 months. Mr. Laster was born June 23, 1885, at McLouth, a son of John and Lilly Sanderson Laster. Mr. Laster came to Leavenworth in 1917 from Kansas City, Kan. >From 1917 until his retirement in 1949 he was manager of the DCoursey Creamery Co. On May 30, 1906, at Lawrence he was married to Miss Emma M. CARLSON. Mrs. Laster died Jan. 9. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Lyra Masonic Lodge No. 156 AF & AM at McLouth, and would have received his 50-year pin this year. He was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 55. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cecile SNYDER, 1544 Ottawa; and Mrs. Estella RICE, Richland, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Goldie ALLEN, RR 2; two brothers, Collie Laster, Kansas City, Kan., and Charles Laster, of California; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Davis Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Fred H. COWLES, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated. Members of Lyra Masonic Lodge No. 356 AF & AM, McLouth, who conducted graveside services for James C.
