Charles L. Matthews.
Funeral services for Charles Lloyd MATTHEWS, 21, who drowned Sunday in Miller's
Lake northwest of Tonganoxie, were Friday at the First Baptist Church of
Tonganoxie.
Military graveside services were held at Tonganoxie's Maple Grove Cemetery. 
Survivors include: Mr. and Mrs. Haynes Matthews, the parents, of the home; three
sisters, Mrs. Ozie STANLEY of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. John PARKER, of Lawrence,
and Miss Ruth Ellen Matthews of the home; nine brothers, Robert Matthews, of San
Diego, Calif., Jess Matthews, of U.S. Navy in San Diego, Mark Matthews of the
Navy in KmiSeyn, Japan, Clifford Matthews of Lawrence, Floyd, Claude and David
Matthews of the home, Earl Matthews of Boston and John Henry Matthews of Kansas
City, Mo.; and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Eleanor BROWN of Tonganoxie.
