Mrs. Anna Jane Kerns McCUE, 87, who had lived in Jefferson county for nearly 40 years, died at the homeof her granddaughter, Mrs. John M. HACKETT, north of Perry, last Friday. Mrs. McCUE came to the United States at the age of 19, from Ireland, where she was born in Mayo county, February 1, 1854. She was married to Hugh McCue in Bristol, Pa., in 1873, and in 1882 she and her husband came to Kansas, settling in Jefferson county where she had lived since that time. She was a member of the Meriden Catholic church. She is survived by two sons, Edward McCue of Topeka and Thomas J. McCue of Meriden; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Deveney of Nortonville and Mrs. Rosanna CAMPBELL of Manhattan; 14 grandchildren and 18 grreat-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the St. Aloysius Catholic church in Meriden.
