The Meriden Message
Jefferson County
Friday
April 25, 1930

Mrs. Elizabeth McDERMED passed away at the age of 69 years after a lingering
illness suffering form anemia for the past few years. A good mother, neighbor,
and friend of all humanity has passed on to her reward. 
She is survived by her husband, Garvin McDermed, and the following sons, Allen,
Robert, Edwin, Chester and one daughter, Mary, who were all present when she
passed away.
The following out of town persons attended the funeral; John O'BRIEN and wife,
Ella and Earl O'BRIEN, and Mrs. Ida SHAW, K.C., Mrs. Agnes HUNTER, Leavenworth,
Ed McDermed and wfie and Earl McDermed and wife, Mrs. Ethel McDermed Emporia.
Mr. and Mrs. Thos. WELSH and Harry Welsh, Ozawkie, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. DOOLEY,
Miss Oda McDermed, Miss Martha HUNTER, Elizabeth SIMONTON, Mr. and Mrs. Chas.
KANE, Arthur SCHAAR, Joe BOYLE , Mr. and Mrs. Wm. RUSSEL, Gilbert SLUSHER, Mrs.
Laura BECKER, Mr. and Mrs. Verna THOMAS, Mrs. Chas. THOMAS, Mrs. Minnie ROWE and
son James, Mrs. WOOD of Topeka and Mr. and Mrs. John COFFEY of Rock Creek.

We wish to express our gratitude for the many acts of kindness during the
sickness and death of our beloved wife and mother.
