Jacob Edward McKELVEY, 54, of 426 Perry, died Dec.(?) 31 while working on a railroad section gang seven miles northeast of Tonganoxie. He was born Nov. 7, 1907 in Sedalia, Mo., and had been a resident of Lawrence for about 40 years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Rumsey Funeral Home with Capt. Earl POLSLEY of the Salvation Army in charge. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Survivors include the wife, Edyth, of the home; four sons, Edward Leroy, Edwin Lee, Bille Dean and Roger Allen, all of the home; a daughter, Edna May, of the home; a brother, Herbert McKelvey of 832 Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. Hazel HARPER of Modesto, Calif.
