Gilbert W. Moon

Gilbert W. MOON was born in Wyandotte County, Kansas, June 10, 1890, and died
May 14, 1948 at the age of 57 years. He served in World War I. He spent most of
his life farming south of Ozawkie until the last few years when he had to retire
because of ill health.
He has been making his home with a nephew, A.L. HENDRIX of Topeka, where he
passed away.
Mr. Moon is survived by his mother, Mrs. Viola Moon of Ozawkie; three sisters,
Mrs. J.P. HENDRIX of Ozawkie, Mrs. Iva MELVIN and Mrs. Tim MORGAN of Kansas
City; one brother, Jess Moon of Ozawkie; nine nephews and two nieces. Funeral
service was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home south of Ozawkie and
burial was made in Ozawkie cemetery.
